POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an eComm Operations Senior Manager will have a breadth of technical knowledge in various digital and eCommerce platforms and technologies (i.e., Web and app), including familiarity with programming languages and system architecture including proprietary systems. The technical digital commerce expert leads the Operations team, which includes Frontend Developers and Content Producers responsible for delivering best-in-class execution of initiatives and day-to-day operations. Leading the operational / technical strategy ensuring platform stability and proper maintenance, while also supporting the delivery of projects and products that drive customer and business value. Tasked with delivering the best possible and highest quality digital execution, this includes, but is not limited to, maintaining a superior digital platform (website and app), identifying, and continuously driving process improvements, evaluating special projects prior to implementation, identifying, and assessing new technologies, and working with multiple cross functional and global teams to execute the business vision.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Operations Management - Ensuring best in class maintenance of digital properties
  • Partners with eCommerce Director, Senior eCommerce Manager and eComm team members (Analyst, Visual Merchandizing, UI/UX, B2B) to understand the commercial, branding, and overall CX objectives of Nespresso eComm, ensuring that all operations objectives are effectively managed and delivered to support the strategy
  • Partners with eCommerce Director and Senior eCommerce Manager to deliver the local eComm roadmap while ensuring flawless execution within the Ops team focused on Optimization that will lead to better commercial performance (Sales, CVR, AOS/AOV)
  • Ensures platform stability within local scope of responsibility including but not limited to, addressing local bugs, and escalating to HQ teams when additional support is required in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the Operational deliverables of the defined US eCommerce roadmap. Projects include: product rollouts, site optimizations, commercial plans, site merchandising and platform stability/site speed/performance
  • Recommends effective processes and procedures to improve workflow, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Signoff on all product/content site launches for accuracy and best-in-class online experience
  • Represents eComm operations by participating in meetings with key stakeholders to evaluate potential new projects and/or validate possible updates to the pre-defined roadmap and communicating with cross key internal stakeholders (Marketing, Supply Chain, Retail, etc.)
  • Inspires innovation in eCommerce by looking outward through research, benchmarking competitive set, industry tools / technologies and vendors to identify new opportunities and present back to the team
  • Education / Develop Capabilities within internal stakeholders (outside of eComm team) around platform technologies with a relentless drive for customer experience, and innovation across the organization
  • Spokesperson for the team on all things technical about the platform and the eCommerce tech stack

Build a high performance and fully operational team
  • Manages team of direct and indirect reports to ensure all the eComm Ops streams are properly managed, delivering the roadmap on-time and on-budget
  • Manage and develop team’s performance and growth within the different operations streams, including 1) Front-End - Tech/Innovation Capabilities 2) Webmaster/Content Producers - Product & Campaign Execution
  • Establishes overall team roles and responsibilities and provide team members with clear direction. Defines and document work breakdowns, continuous focus on areas of opportunities and outages
  • Ensures continuous improvement and team continuity - Identify opportunities for improvement of existing processes, identify efficiencies, new capabilities required (people and platforms)

HQ Coordination and Local Compliance
  • Partners with HQ counterparts and support building the global & local new ways of working, influencing the Global vision when required, being able to share the local needs and its impacts to the global landscape of Nespresso platforms
  • Ensures all activities are pre-aligned, validated and planned with Local & HQ relevant stakeholders
  • Ensures all content, legal terms & conditions are compliant with local laws and nestle Nespresso guidelines
  • Ensures all technical issues with digital properties are logged, monitored, followed, and escalated when need be according to nestle Nespresso guidelines
  • Ensures guidelines and processes are recorded and up to date (local vs global)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred
  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in eComm / Digital project management methodologies and team management required
  • Agile & SCRUM PM experience a plus
  • Familiar with web services and HTML
  • People Management experience required
  • Experience of replat forming and / or Digital Transformations a plus
  • Strong experience in Website management (Content Management, Merchandising, A/B testing & personalization)
  • Experience in SEO optimization
  • Strong Knowledge of Web Analytics
  • Understanding of the online acquisition activities and their impact on eCommerce sites
  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, experience across multiple CMS & Photoshop tools
  • Proven experience in working and influencing people, teams/functions not in direct reporting line
  • Google Analytics Certification is a plus

The approximate pay range for this position is $ 170,000- $185,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
