As a progressive student-centred College, we are now looking for a Catering Assistant to work within the College's Hospitality curriculum area.

Details of the role
The successful candidate will have responsibility for ongoing cleaning and upkeep of designated areas, including the safe management of equipment, materials and resources. You will be supervising students during practical or theory sessions, supporting Lecturers and technicians as required while ensuring the delivery of high quality practical sessions which fully comply with relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation and best practice.
This is a term time only position for 24 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
Job Requirements
You will have GCSE level or equivalent standard passes in Mathematics and English and Level 2 Food safety certificate (HACCP). Holding Health and safety qualification (COSHH) and Level 3 Food safety certificate would be an advantage.
You will also have proven recent experience in relevant hospitality/ catering environment, experience of applying knowledge of Safer Food Better Business in the workplace as well as experience of working to a budget and dealing with finances. You will also have experience in storekeeping including stock taking and food costs.
