Salary: Starting apprentice rate £10,296

Purpose of Job:
This is a new role that presents an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our organisation at a pivotal time in ours and their development and growth. We are looking for someone who wants to grow and develop their long-term career in finance with us.
You will have an enquiring mind and genuine enthusiasm for providing high quality financial and administrative support. You will be interested in processing, accounting, monitoring and presenting financial information. Your role will involve data entry and transaction processing, to assist and support the Accountant(s) to provide accurate, up to date and timely financial information as part of accounts preparation.
You will be supported by experienced staff who can assist you with your work and study to give you the experience required to be successful within the role. You will also be trained to use various IT systems that support the efficient delivery of our services.
Main Duties:
- Undertake administrative duties as required and as part of the infrastructure team.
- Provide support to customers and suppliers by responding to enquires.
- Proactively seek opportunities to assist your team.
- Support with the maintenance and reconciliation of accounting records
- Record keeping supporting the preparation of year end accounts
- Supporting the development of information to enable financial management information to service clients
- Support the maintenance and development of financial records and systems
- Support and understand the preparation of Government returns
- Provision of information to support financial management and advice
- Gain an understanding of treasury management.
- Gain an understanding of VAT and taxation.
- To undertake suitable training and development, both specialist/technical and to further improve interpersonal/management skills, in accordance with training and development strategies which may be implemented from time to time.
The job holder will be expected to:
- To complete all required elements of the agreed apprenticeship training and attend any college or training events as directected.
- To act in accordance with Digivolve policies and other Codes of Conduct
- To participate in staff development, appraisal and training as appropriate, including continuous professional development.
