About the company:
GSA Business Development Ltd is a niche telemarketing/lead generation agency that was established in the year 2000 to provide marketing and lead generation services to business-to-business customers in the UK. The business has grown, albeit remains very small, but now works for large companies such as Honeywell, Veolia, Mile, OKI and Love2Shop in addition to smaller businesses. We punch above our weight not least because we have built partnerships with near-shore organisations in Hungary, Spain, and South Africa to provide multi-lingual telemarketing capabilities for larger scale customer telemarketing campaigns.
The company has some established repeat customers, receives good customer referrals, and gets a good number of inbound leads via Google. We have 28 5 Star Google Reviews on Google, and many and testimonials on our website.
In addition to telemarketing, the business provides LinkedIn lead generation, a service we’d like to expand further, telemarketing training, email marketing, and builds marketing lists for clients that wish to generate new business.
A typical client has a problem. They are not seeing enough fresh sales leads into its business. That means either the directors or sales team is not generating enough growth. They come to us to increase their opportunities to do more business. We do that through a combination of telemarketing (calling up potential new prospects), email marketing, and LinkedIn outreach on behalf of our clients.
The company already has nearly 500 blogs, videos, podcasts, and infographics on its website and is looking to increase this number. Our content marketing strategy is a key component of our success since this content has led to good rankings on search engines that have provided excellent leads and new business.

The Challenges
With such a small team in management, time is against us. Equally, our owner and MD, Jonathan Silverman, runs the business, undertakes the financial side, and does sales and marketing. - Back-up for CRM campaign set-up – there are times where our admin team is not available, and we need campaigns set up urgently on our CRM
- Data analysis
- Report generation – e.g. where Kevin is away, and client reports need to be loaded on the shared drive
- SEO – whilst we have an agency, someone needs to work alongside them to maximise our content for SEO
- Content creation – this may be difficult, without knowing the industry, but ChatGPT and tools such as Frase.io, now makes life a lot easier
- Content distribution – we used to use Loomly but have stopped all content distribution outside of LinkedIn once a week. Note. This could include working for our clients as a service.
- Using new tools – we use Lusha for data building and are considering extending this use.
- Using our LinkedIn automation tool (Salesflow) for our own campaigns and for those of our clients.
There will also be ad hoc requirements to support both the MD, and Telemarketing Operations Manager with marketing and client support.
