Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Marketer/SEO Copywriter Apprentice with Black Lab Digital, a PPC, SEO and Web Agency based in Otley, Leeds.
Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEO Copywriter to join our team who is eager to learn and grow their career in the digital marketing industry, specifically as an SEO copywriter.
As a SEO Copywriter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, SEO-optimised content for our clients. You will collaborate with our SEO team, led by our Head of SEO and our technical SEO, to understand client needs, perform keyword research, and develop compelling content and in the future create your own strategies.
We are looking for someone with a passion for creative writing who can leverage data to write informed content that is relevant to readers. Having a background in SEO is not necessary for this role, just a creative flair and the ability to create compelling well-written content.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Research and understand clients’ business objectives, target audience, and industry trends.
- Perform keyword research to identify relevant keywords and phrases to use in content.
- Write and edit high-quality, SEO-optimised blog articles, website content, social media posts, and other digital content.
- Monitor and analyse website traffic and user engagement to refine content strategy.
- Collaborate with the SEO team to develop effective content marketing campaigns that drive traffic, leads and sales.
- Keep up to date with the latest SEO and content marketing trends and practices.
- Ensure all content is aligned with the clients’ brand voice and tone.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths).
Personal qualities:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with close attention to detail.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify and interpret relevant data.
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of clients’ industries and target audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Moz would be beneficial but not necessary for the role.
Future prospects:
The role offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

Training to be provided:
Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Digital Marketer, with training in how to:
- Source, plan, develop and deploy digital content across a variety of channels including your website and social media.
- Execute multi-channel digital campaigns using online platforms.
- Monitor and evaluate channel and campaign performance using different analytical tools.
- Adopt a test and learn approach to digital marketing activities, making recommendations for improvement.
