Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a progressive and innovative Digital Development Team designing and delivering solutions for a highly ambitious City in the industrial heart of the UK. We are currently undertaking a comprehensive digital programme and are seeking an experienced digital developer to lead the team and create integrated digital services and introduce new digital solutions and technologies that work for our customers, helping to redesign the future of the council, making the most of AI, IoT, Robotics, and the most innovative and transformational emerging technologies.

Do you have what it takes to hit the ground running in a busy, vibrant and challenging technological environment? Are you dynamic, enthusiastic and willing to get involved in supporting an array of digital projects? If so, this could be the rewarding role you are looking for.

The successful applicant will work with colleagues across the Council to improve the online experience for our customers in line with stakeholder expectations and business needs. They will be responsible for development and implementation of the council's digital systems and associated integrated technologies, in addition to leading and managing the team. They will have an understanding of customer-focussed end-to-end digital processes.

To apply, please review the job description and person specification and email your CV and covering letter to [email protected].

As part of our safer recruitment checks the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

All employees will normally be appointed to the minimum of the grade for the job. For reasons connected with a particular need of the Council it may be appropriate, subject to approval, to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade.

Please be aware that where there are staff within the organisation who are 'at risk' of redundancy, requirements to redeploy to another suitable role will apply and take priority.

The closing date for this vacancy is at midnight. Any applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.
