Role Summary
- Responsibilities: You will be involved in all stages of a wide range of creative projects for our clients within the healthcare sector, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity

About the Role
This position is ideal for Design students or recent graduates who are looking to gain an insight into life in an agency or commercial environment. The internship will provide a valuable opportunity to get hands-on design experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
As a Digital Design Intern at Costello Medical, you will support with a wide range of digital projects, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. You will work closely with internal colleagues and external clients to understand the project brief, providing technical insight and guidance where required, and will produce materials to high standards of clarity and presentation.
Examples include the design, maintenance and testing of new and existing website and mobile applications, the creation of interactive content for conferences and events, the production of animation/video, and the creation of digital marketing material. Throughout the internship, you will receive comprehensive one-to-one training from experienced members of the team, learning about the technical aspects of the role, as well as project management and effective client communication.

Requirements
About You
This internship is suited to recent graduates as well as current students who are permitted to complete full-time internships either during the holidays or via a placement as a part of their degree. We also welcome applications from those looking to start their career in Digital Design.
No previous experience in the scientific industry is required, however, we are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in healthcare and an eagerness to learn about new areas of science. An interest in applying UI/UX and Digital Design to the healthcare industry would be an advantage.
Essential requirements for the role are:
- A degree level or higher qualification in a Design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or expected 2.1), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; Graphic Design, Digital Design, Motion Design, Computer Science and Art
- Experience with UI/UX design for a wide range of digital channels
- Technical knowledge of email/web/application development
- Working knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Familiarity with other software in the Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An excellent level of productivity and the flexibility to respond to changing deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships
Practical experience with HTML and CSS, as well as familiarity with basic JavaScript, is desirable but not essential for this role.

The Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process includes a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. If successful, you will be invited to an interview, which includes a portfolio review, with senior members of our Design team. Our standard recruitment process lasts around 2 to 4 weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.
The internship can run for either 3 or 6 months, and will ideally commence in May 2023. However, we have additional start dates available throughout 2023, and you will be asked to state your availability and preferred internship length on your application form. Whilst there are no set application deadlines, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible so that we can begin processing your application. The role may close when suitable candidates are found.
