Digital Account Manager (part-time and remote working)

We require a part-time Digital Account Manager to join our team.
You would be working for Britbet. We are a company owned by 55 racecourses in the UK including some of the most famous racecourses such as: Aintree, Cheltenham, Doncaster, Epsom, Goodwood, Newbury, Sandown and York.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the britbet team during an exciting period of growth, with the imminent launch of two mobile applications to provide a raceday experience for customers at horse racing tracks (called ‘Raceday Ready’) and greyhound tracks (called ‘Greyhound Guide’).
Working with the Head of Digital Marketing, you will help to manage the relationships with the racecourses in relation to digital opportunities, with primary focus on these two new products.
This will involve working with and on behalf of the racecourses to coordinate digital marketing and content activities, using a ‘test and learn’ approach providing an engaging digital raceday experience for racegoers.
This role is ideal for a personable, enthusiastic individual with 3+ years’ experience of working in digital marketing and / or account management.
This is a remote role, although occasional trips to the Britbet office in Liverpool may be required, including initially for training.
The role is part-time, with 20 hours per week expected. There will be flexibility on what hours are worked during the week, however you would be expected to work at least some hours on most week days (Monday to Friday).
Role duties include:
· Communicating regularly with racecourse partners around the promotion of the digital products, building relationships and helping them to make the most of this opportunity
· Using the racing calendar to help create and distribute content across the mobile applications for greyhounds and horse racing, to provide a good digital customer experience for racegoers
· Helping to plan and co-ordinate digital marketing activity and other ‘on the ground’ marketing activity to encourage racegoers to use the apps
· Planning social media messaging
· Assisting with the development of the mobile products through product improvement and UAT testing
· Providing racecourses with regular feedback on activity around raceday activity and suggesting improvements
· Listening to racecourse and customer feedback and analysis of data to identify new ways to improve functionality, user experience and identify commercial opportunities
· Overseeing any rewards and incentive programmes for the mobile products
What we need from you:
· Excellent communication skills, especially when engaging with stakeholders
· Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and manage upwards
· Good presentation skills, using PowerPoint in particular
· Organised and diligent with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at any one time
· Some experience of working with digital content and/or marketing
· Experienced, confident and competent at writing engaging copy and proofreading
· Able to use analytics to review success of content and identify opportunities for improvement and engagement
· Comfortable using social media management tools
· Effective at working well in a team environment
· Capable of working alone at times, taking responsibility and initiative
· Knowledge/interest in horse racing and greyhounds is preferable, though not essential
Experience with:
o Using website CMS
o Design tools such as Canva (or other design software)
o Social media management tools
o Email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp)
o Online data collection and form tools (e.g. Jotform or similar)
o Google Analytics
o Affiliate marketing
o PowerPoint and Excel
o Working alongside external suppliers
