The role:

Great opportunity to join the small tight knit team of a well-funded start-up taking part in the design and development of the backbone infrastructure and delivery pipeline of our first software product.

What will you do?

‍As our DevOps Senior Engineer, you will be part of the engineering group, working closely with our director of DevOps as well as software developers and database administrators to improve the delivery and availability of our product.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, manage, and administrate existing or new CICD tools
  • Building configuration and automation tools to support the application delivery process
  • Orchestrate the delivery pipeline from development environments all the way to production
  • Take part in the decision making of the company deployment methodologies and practices
  • Monitor and support the platform runtime to meet the SLA in the Production environment
  • Work on ways to automate and improve software delivery life cycle


Requirements

Essential

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer on a high-scale distributed system.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Helm and Code Deploy, including setting up automated builds, testing, and deployment processes
  • You have a deep understanding of Cloud technologies, specifically AWS, and the ability to design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Has the expertise to design and implement solutions above K8S and ECS including deep understanding the systems internals and patterns.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.
  • Deep understanding of traditional DevOps practices such as containerization, monitoring and logging, security and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tools such as New Relic, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Mastery of infrastructure as code concepts, implementation and lifecycle while using Cloud Formation or Terraform.
  • Container and orchestration experience with Docker and ECS/EKS.
  • Scripting capabilities with Python, Bash, Groovy

  • Proven experience leading and managing technology-based projects, delivered on-time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide other team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts and make decisions in a fast-paced environment, leveraging stakeholder consensus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and communicate the value.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
