An opportunity has arisen to join our experienced and established management team, working across East Renfrewshire and Ayrshire.

As a Development Leader you will lead and manage a team of Support Practitioners working with supported people to make a real difference, and enable the person supported to live their best life.

The Development Leader will report to the Senior Development Leader and will be responsible for the daily management of services and their teams. Ensuring all team members are suitably trained, well supported, and have the tools to carry out their role, to the best of their ability. You will also ensure that all aspects of support and service delivery is focused on meeting the needs and preferences of the people we support. You will also undertake emergency on-call duties, as part of a rota, out with office hours for the Organisation.

About You

It is essential that you have good knowledge and experience of working within the health / social care sector, supporting people to live as independently as possible, including managing services and teams.

You should be able to demonstrate effective communication, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills. You will be responsible for working with both internal and external partners. You will also be committed to person-centred planning, supporting positive risk taking and promoting best practice.

This role will involve aspects of leading and overseeing a number of teams, having a flexible and fast paced approach, with a can-do attitude.

It is also important that you share our ethos and values which are at the heart of everything we to and ensure that we deliver high quality and consistent support.

This post is subject to membership of the PVG Scheme. Successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within six months of employment. They will also be required to have or undertake an SVQ 4 or equivalent qualification to meet the conditions of their registration.
