Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 18:00
Salary: Up to £25,721 per annum
Are you a dedicated and passionate Student Centre/Library Assistant or have experience of working in a customer-facing role? Then join us to provide a responsive, welcoming, supportive, and efficient front-line service to City Lit’s learners, staff, and visitors, maintaining high standards of customer care at all times, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond, to enrich lives through learning.
City Lit is London's largest source of adult learning, inspiring over 30,000 students a year and offering more than 5,000 courses, online and face-to-face. As a leader in our field, we have a century’s reputation for delivering the highest quality student experience. You will teach in a creative and flexible way inspiring learners to achieve.
You’ll be a key contributor to our thriving Student Services department, where you will work across a range of responsibilities such as answering efficiently and effectively, and signposting where appropriate, student queries at all touch points, including but not limited to telephone, email, face to face/Helpdesk, web chat and Zendesk. You will also have a sound understanding of financial support services available to students and support the smooth running of the library service.

- Previous experience of working in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of customers and stakeholders.
- Proven administrative experience.
- Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, Outlook and internet, social media platforms and ideally Google classroom, with the ability to advise students and perform moderate troubleshooting.
- Ability to use Social Media as a platform to communicate with learners and promote services.
- Previous experience of working successfully in a team.
