Job description
The Role:
- Responsible to design & develop the ATE (Automated Test Equipment)
- Responsible to design & develop the Test Application using NI LabVIEW, Python & other test automation software tools
- Analyze and utilize test equipment such as data acquisition devices, power supplies, transducers, I/O devices, and other hardware to meet test requirements
- Responsible to make bench setup for manual test & automated test system based on test requirements, maintain & troubleshoot if any issues.
- Responsible to be a part of developing test cases/plans based on requirements
- Contribute to creating documentation during any stage of product development
- Collaborate with multiple other teams to deliver the projects at time
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience with Bachelors degree or recent Master's degree
- Basic knowledge of electrical & electronics circuits and components
- Ability to study & understand electrical & electronic schematic & layout
- Exposure to electrical test equipment including but not limited to power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers etc.
- Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical CAD software
- Exposure to automation in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Ability to be flexible and responsive
- Good verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Understanding of working principle of power electronic devices used in electric vehicle
- Understanding of communication protocols like Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN etc.
- Knowledge of safety and EMI requirements related to high power applications
- Experienced/Understanding in Functional Testing, End of Line Testing etc.
- Good software & hardware troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge in processes like GR&R, Cpk etc.
- NI Certification is a plus
Education:
- Minimum – BE/BS in the areas of Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering or comparable Engineering degree
- California (Bay Area) - $104,000 - $143,000
