The Development Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of Athena Academy’s fundraising including the annual fund, grant applications, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns. The Development Manager works closely with the senior administrive team and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.
- Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
- Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
- Manage grants and fundraising calendar; oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
- Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
- Build a planned giving program.
- Direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives.
- Coordinate fund raising special events.
- Support and educate Board of Trustees in their role and responsibilities as fundraisers.
- Attend the Board Development Committee meetings
- Oversee creation of publications to support fundraising activities.
- Maintain gift recognition programs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Palo Alto, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Fundraising: 5 years (Required)
- Grant writing: 2 years (Preferred)
