Job Requirement Description
We are looking for a Desktop Support person to support our Europe Region and to act as the Corporate IT point of contact for that region. This person will provide desktop configuration as set by the corporate office and end-users within Europe Region. This position will report directory to our corporate office located in Teaneck, New Jersey, USA.
Here is the job experience required for this position:
§ 5+years of managing and supporting desktop configuration and mobile devices operation.
§ Troubleshoot devices, including Laptops, printers, mobile devices along with other computer related programs.
§ Will help with purchase of equipment for new hires and provide orientation for new hires within Europe Region on behalf of corporate IT.
§ The Desktop Support Specialist will oversee all hardware and software used by the local office as well as within the Europe Region.
§ Must have the ability to support users remotely and onsite local office located at Europe regional office in London as well as remote users within the Europe Region.
§ The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for tracking and locating all hardware assigned to any employee within the Europe Region.
§ Setup and manage user accounts and permissions to comply with IT corporate standards for access.
§ Should be experience with troubleshooting desktop related connection and ip configuration, including knowledge of TCP/IP ping commands.
§ Work proactively with end-users to prevent unexpected failures and compromises.
§ Setting up the user’s computer system to meet specific business goals within the region.
§ Monitoring day-to-day computer performance for end-users.
§ Distribute and track hardware issued within Europe Region for employees and contractors.
§ Configure new desktop devices for new employees to ensure they have access to resources (Hardware and Software).
§ Monitor, test desktop and troubleshoot VPN connectivity issues, printers, and other services.
§ Ensure desktop configuration standards are maintained at all the times without compromise.
§ Troubleshooting users’ issues related to their provided hardware (laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers etc.).
§ Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites and Basic knowledge in Microsoft’s Azure portal.
§ Ethical standards and excellence in verbal and written communication while dealing with end-users and business leaders.
Education, Qualification and Certification
§ Minimum 2 years of college degree or 6 to 10 years of hands-on equivalent experience as a Desktop Support person.
§ Desktop Hardware related certification is a plus.
