We at the Peterborough Customer Deliver Centre are looking to welcome full-time & part-time Warehouse Operatives and Warehouse Picker Packers on day shift to join our ever-expanding team. This is an amazing opportunity for you to learn on the job!! No experience is necessary; full training will be provided and adapted to your needs.
In the IKEA world, we call this position a Warehouse Co-worker.
Due to Health & Safety regulations, applicants must be over the age of 18.
All successful applicants will be invited to an assessment centre on site. The assessment centre will take around 2 hours and will include an interview and group activity.
Assessment centres scheduled: 5th June 2023 onwards.
Start date: 19th June 2023 onwards.
WHAT WE OFFER
Various shift patterns can be discussed during the interview process with weekend working being required.
Final offers of employment are contingent upon clear results in mandatory background checks. Backgrounds checks must be completed by all successful candidates and will include medical history. To support our Safety agenda all successful candidates are required to pass a Drug & Alcohol test as part of the onboarding.

If you have never worked in logistics before, you don’t need to worry; we will teach you everything you need to know! We have a team of on-site trainers who know the ins and outs of how we work, and they will work this through with you one-to-one, step by step.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
We are looking for talented people to join IKEA as a warehouse co-worker to help us pick, pack, load, and dispatch orders for our customers, within the Customer Distribution Centre. You will learn the world of logistics; from dispatching both truck and parcel orders, to managing inbound products and replenishing stock levels. A key part of the Warehouse Operative role will be driving different Forklift Trucks to make the process quick and simple.

- Warehouse Operative Pack only - Hourly rate £11.50
- Permanent dayshift (Full-Time and Part-time) opening hours between 06:00am – 22:00pm.
- Warehouse Operative Picking - Hourly Rate £12.40 (inclusive of Forklift Truck Allowance).
- Permanent dayshift Full-Time, Part-time and Part-time Weekend only (Reach Truck and Counter Balance), opening hours between 06:00am – 22:00pm.
