YOUR role:
The Pre-press Designer is responsible for editing and producing graphics, production files and visual production guides (job records). Great communication skills are required - the applicant will be responsible for communicating with other team members outside of prepress for job clarification and best production practices.

What YOU will do:
- Review work order and communicate with Program Coordinator to adjust or clarify information (i.e. labour time allocated per job)
- Create and/or alter graphics & layouts for client approvals
- Create production files such as Print, Route, Vinyl and job records for production team
- Adjust files from previous job, check colors, fonts, resolution, crop marks, etc.
- Create the Job Record to detail production instructions regarding that job (holes, sizes, materials, finishing), including where the files are stored
- Pre-flighting: double check the files before they are sent to production.
- Updating trackers as job progress
- Other duties as assigned
What YOU will possess:
- Excellent Adobe software skills – especially with Illustrator & Photoshop
- Problem solving and high attention to detail
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Ability to multi-task and work independently under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in individual and group settings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production facility that is customer driven and focused
- Ability to read engineering cads an asset
