Job description
We are a highly specialist hospital for people with very complex medical needs that have often been caused by an acquired brain injury or serious neurological condition. We provide a comfortable, homely environment for 40 patients who are highly dependent, need very detailed care plans, skilled care and treatment.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- All aspects of daily patient care
- Assisting nurses with respiratory management of patients with complex neuro-disability
- Helping rehab patients achieve their goals
Relevant skills include:

Non-judgemental approach, patience and caring for people.
Useful insight into this role:
The work can be physically demanding and does involve moving and handling.

Uniform - Where staff are required to wear a uniform it is provided free of charge. We expect staff to wear their uniform as intended and to ensure they are clean and tidy at all times. Staff are responsible for laundering their own uniforms.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Apprenticeship Standard Level 2 Adult Care Worker
- Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if GCSE grade 4 is not already achieved)
- You will do your training at Holy Cross Hospital in Haslemere, Surrey
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Nursing Associate
Days/hours: 5 days over 7-day period
Shift timings: 07:45 – 15:00, 13:45 – 20:45 and 1 full day 07:45 – 20:45.
Total hours per week: 37.5
Successful completion of this apprenticeship will lead to full-time employment and further training opportunities with this employer.
