Designer
Full Time (40 hours)
Sunderland AFC is looking to appoint a designer to work as part of the internal Creative Team within the Club’s Communications, Digital & Marketing domain and will be responsible for producing and artworking creative and visual material (both football and non-football)
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Support the Creative Lead by responding to briefs from departments throughout the Club.
· Responsible for producing and overseeing to completion, industry leading designs that deliver on the objectives of the brief but also express Sunderland AFC’s values and personality for a multitude of formats, both template and bespoke, including but not limited to print, marketing materials and digital assets.
· A highly motivated team player with good organisational and multi-taskings skills demonstrating the ability to think ahead, prioritise, manage, and deliver output to strict deadlines.
· Artwork designs for production where necessary.
· Knowledge of artwork and production techniques.
· Collaborate with other departments and employees to guide and influence projects.
· Be a guardian of the Sunderland AFC brand and monitor all Club output for consistency and coherence.
· Work using Adobe software, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and ideally After Effects.
· An exceptional attention to detail.
· Liaise with suppliers of print and other creative delivery services.
· Provide briefs and direct photographers at photoshoots
· Contribute to the continued development and implementation of the Club’s marcomms strategy.
Applicants should have the relevant experience and qualifications:
· A minimum 2-3 years’ experience in an agency or similar sports role
· A degree qualification in graphic design or related subject matter
· Knowledge of sport industry is an advantage.

The position is full time (40 hours per week), the availability to work flexible is essential to suit business needs. Additionally, you are required to work all home fixtures and special events unless previously agreed with your manager.
