Location: Our Breweries in Manchester or Tadcaster

Application Closing Date: 17th February 2023

Our two-year Supply Chain Future Leader graduate programme is designed to give you a 360 insight to our Supply Chain operations and what goes in to brewing some of the world’s favourite beers and ciders. During your placement with us, you’ll build on your leadership skills and fully immerse yourself into operational projects and management of people.

A bit about the role:

Graduates have an important part to play in our future and we provide an ideal environment for individuals to develop, whilst feeling valued and having a fun whilst doing so. The Supply Chain Future Leader graduate programme offers structured rotations within multiple areas or functions (Brewing, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Logistics, Packaging, Health & Safety or Continuous Improvement) within a brewery where you will have opportunities to learn, develop and make a real difference to HEINEKEN.

Our 2023 graduate opportunities are based at either our Tadcaster Brewery (near Leeds), or Manchester Brewery. You’ll need to be robust and adventurous, ready to relocate to one of those locations and give it your best!

Who we’re looking for:

If you are currently studying Business Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Science, Logistics, or Brewing & Distilling, and on track for a 2:1 degree by September 2023, or you’ve just graduated we’d like to hear from you!

Life at HEINEKEN:

We’re building a future that embraces innovation, sustainability, diversity and, of course, the opportunity for our 2,400 UK colleagues to make the most of their careers.

We encourage all our colleagues to grow and reach their full potential. We’re also well-aware that successful careers seldom run in a straight line, so if you’re in search of fresh opportunities (including global or cross-functional moves), mentoring or simply want to pick up a new skill, you’ll have access to all the support you need.

We love our Brands, we absolutely do, and the quality must be perfect. We like to innovate and create not only new flavours for our consumers but also new ways of delivering those Brands through a supply chain that is considerate of People and Planet. You might have read that a lot too – but we really mean it, our Values are Enjoyment, Quality and Respect.

Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way – but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.

Why pick us?
“I have just finished my 2 years on the graduate programme. The recruitment process was brilliant and really felt personal to me. The assessment centre felt like it was designed to get to know my personality better, rather than a really daunting interview. My day to day working life is varied, with lots of different challenges, but also lots of support off many colleagues.

I have focused on and developed a number of key transferable skills such as conflict management, negotiation skills and self-confidence. Overall, the graduate programme has helped me experience multiple perspectives of the business, providing me with clear insight as to where I wish to work in my future career. Very happy with the way it has gone.” Varinder, 2nd Year Graduate Programme

The Application:

Along with your CV, please attach a covering letter addressing the site you’d like to apply for (Manchester or Tadcaster) and the following: in less than 200 words…

What are the characteristics and experience that you already have that make you a great future leader (please note – your covering letter is part of our screening process so make sure you get creative and stand out from the crowd! Applications without covering letters will not be accepted.)

Application close Friday February 17th 2023 – but don’t leave it to the last minute and make us read thousands of CVs on the day of closing...please!

Once we’ve read your CV and covering letter; the next stage for successful applicants will be a pre-recorded video interview (ours are a bit more relaxed and fun than others!) before the final selected candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day in late 2023.
