POSITION SUMMARY
We are SGK, a global agency that focusses on packaging and brand experience design. We are currently in an exciting period of growth and are looking for an experienced middleweight to join our brand solutions team and work closely with our CD and DD.
The role will involve working with a leading FMCG brand on a wide array of exciting design briefs. It’s a fantastic opportunity for development, taking ownership of projects and building client experience. You’ll be focusing on pack design with opportunities to work across our broad portfolio of well-known clients when the need arises.
GENERAL SKILLS
- Experience working in a creative agency
- Good conceptual pack design skills
- Excellent visual design skills and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of print production
- Strong visualisation and sketching skills
- Fluent in Adobe CS
- Good understanding of brand guidelines; how to implement and develop
BEHAVIOURS
You display a genuine passion and commitment for consumer branding, conceptual and adaptive brand design. A positive can-do attitude, you enjoy working in a small creative team and working individually.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Take conceptual and adaptive briefs from clients and senior team members
- Create amazing concepts and design which delivers on the objectives of the brief whilst having an excellent eye for detail
- Make time to understand the brand essence and brand guidelines
- Support briefing illustrators, artwork and production team inside and outside of SGK to create what is needed.
- Take ownership, responsibility, and accountability of client projects
- Be flexible. We work on a large range of projects for our client. Some jobs might stretch your skills while others might not feel like a challenge to you at all. We need you to deliver the best solution on all.
Team Working
- Working in collaboration with client service team to support them
- Liaise with client services, design and production to ensure quality of design and printability
- Question and challenge briefing documents where appropriate to get better results
- Inspire, nurture and support adaptive design talent of your level and below
- Inspire, support and impress design talent of your level and above
- Roll up your sleeves and go the extra mile in order to set us apart from our peers and competitors
Presentation Skills
- When required, present work to clients in a professional and organised manner
- Construct clear and convincing presentations for internal and client purposes
Broad Requirements:
- Accurate and on time completion of time sheets
- Develop and display a thorough knowledge of digital software
- Take pride in your environment - i.e. creating a tidy and inspiring space to work within
- Ensure that administration, company protocol and standards are maintained
