Job description

We expect our Designers at Threadbare to be creative and professional and to work well within the design team.

They bring ranges to life and take the design to through the full process, trend research, CAD ranges, tech packs and organise specs and action the design working with factories directly.

Our Designers would also be involved with the approval process of a style when a design has been booked as an order, they would be responsible with the support of a Senior Buyer and the Senior Designer to ensure the approvals are done on time and are commercial for the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

· Understand the design process and have an attention to detail.

· Must have experience in graphic design, prints, slogans and repeat prints.

· Be able to work on different handwritings, across contract, stock and younger customers.

· Managing workload with the senior designer in line with the design calendar to meet deadlines and create strong ranges.

· Have 1 on 1 calls with factories and suppliers to discuss development.

· Pitch creative ideas and research to the whole team.

· Collaborate with the design team on new projects and bring ranges to life.

· Give approvals on ranges with the guidance of the Senior Designer and Buyer.

· Responsible for the showrooms and working with the design team to ensure they are updated, kept tidy and give creative ideas on how to keep presentations new and exciting.

· To be able to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to a good level for CAD work.

· A keen eye for detail making work aesthetically pleasing and providing clear strong layouts.

· A knowledge of fabric bases within the department.

· To have 3 years minimum experience.

· Time management and multitasking abilities.

· Creative skills and problem-solving attitude.

· Teamwork skills.

· Use feedback from other designers to improve.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £28,000.00 per year
