Design Engineer, Walsall, £30-35k
My client is a leading design and manufacturing company. They are looking to recruit a Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of new products and product improvement, from concept through to testing and final production. This will give you a real opportunity to make your mark as the category owner for the range.
You will be supporting a key brand in our range ensuring they keep design innovation, ease of function and installation and quality at the heart of everything they do.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: -
*Design parts, assemblies, and complete products.
*Validation testing and documentation to industry standards.
*Technical drawings and parts related drawings.
*Technical file production and maintenance.
*Clear and effective cross function liaison with key stakeholders.
*Supplier and project management.
*Working closely with manufacturing and purchasing team.
Requirements: -
*3+ years’ experience in a design/mechanical development role.
*Skilled CAD user ideally SolidWorks.
*Supporting qualifications.
*BOM creation and development.
*Experience with electronics and software desirable.
*Experience with welded frames, turned parts, CNC machined parts - desirable.
*Detailed drawing specs including Critical to Quality (CTQ), Tolerance stacks.
*Experience with PDM - Desirable.

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
