Job description
The electrical design engineering will deliver assigned design, test requirements, drawings and specifications required by the company.
Key Responsibilities
· Design – to deliver all aspects of electrical design to the required industry standards in relation to e.g.
· Electrical design including circuitry and FMEA / PMMEA analysis.
· Panel design.
· Specifications.
· Component selection.
· Calculations.
· Software and associated de-bugging.
· Drawings.
· Instructions.
· Testing & commissioning requirements.
· Generation of bill of materials.
· Ensure design projects including build and testing requirements are effectively project managed, documented, and scheduled to meet company requirements.
· Providing progress reports and briefings as required and for ensuring the Product Manager is alerted to any difficulties or issues in a timely manner.
· Maintaining records as necessary and directed to meet the requirements of the quality system.
· Ensuring the health, safety & welfare of self and others at all times and for reporting as necessary any HSW concerns.
To succeed in the role you will need:
· HND/Degree level in mechanical engineering preferably with experience in a relevant role.
· Experience of managing and delivering a design project to required Time, Cost and Quality constraints.
· Use of design software packages for electrical design.
Desirable:
· Experience of the active fire protection sector.
· EMC testing and design.
· CE product compliance.
