Each Peach Childcare is looking for an amazing Deputy Nursery Manager to join our family at our beautiful Hove Nursery.
Lead the team to create fantastic activities in our beautiful Discovery Room, head over to the forest school to build a magnificent den and finish the day baking some delicious treats with our in house chef! We have newly re-furbished beautiful rooms and environments, and we’re looking for an inspiring Deputy Manager to provide outstanding opportunities for our little learners.
This opportunity will see you as second in charge, working closely with our job share Nursery Managers, during your journey as Deputy Manager, you’ll build bonds with parents and children every day and create an exciting, safe environment for our little learners. You will be a role model in the nursery and lead, develop and motivate the team with your positive attitude. You will share the role of making sure the nursery runs smoothly with the nursery managers by assisting with inductions, performance reviews and overseeing that policies and procedures are being met. You’ll ensure the settings are presentable, inviting and safe by carrying out daily checks and risk assessments. On the days when the Nursery Managers are absent you will assume the overall running of the setting.
As a Deputy Manager you will be excellent at:
- Welcoming new children and families into the setting
- Building caring relationships with children, families, your team and the local community
- Delegating tasks to your team and encouraging their strengths within the setting
- Evaluating performances within the setting and supporting your team in their development
You will have:
- A good knowledge of the early years
- Previous experience in a senior or lead role
- A level 3 qualification in early years
- A can-do attitude and a nurturing personality
