<h4>Deputy Houseparent – Junior Boarding House</h4> <h4>Full time, residential, term time only (35 weeks)</h4> <h4>Required from Summer Term 2023</h4> <h4>53 hours to include up to 4 overnight duties per week</h4>

Shift pattern involving days, evenings and weekends

Salary: £22,712 to £25,226 per annum (£33,745 to £37,480 FTE) depending on skills, qualifications and experience plus 5.6 weeks statutory holiday pay. In addition to the above salary you will be paid an allowance of approximately £3,400 per annum for four overnight duties per term time week.

At Cheltenham Ladies’ College, we aim to provide a strong support network for every one of our pupils. Around 720 pupils board with us in one of our 11 Sixth Form and Junior Boarding Houses and your role will be at the heart of this pastoral care as you join one of our dedicated professional teams working under an individual Houseparent.

In addition to looking after our pupils’ wellbeing, you will help with the day-to-day running of the house and more. There is a range of work patterns available, with allocated time off. As part of a close-knit community in the centre of Cheltenham, you will also have easy access to all of the facilities that this thriving town has to offer.

To be considered for the role of Deputy Houseparent you will have the ability to supervise, encourage and motivate staff and to mentor and support pupils in the house. You will deputise for the Houseparent in their absence and will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the House together with coordinating and prioritising work schedules and delegating effectively to the team. Excellent administrative skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships are a must and an academic background is desirable
