Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world-leading. In 2021, we were awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for our world-leading music therapy work.

About the Role:

Working collegiately, they will foster the growth of inter- and trans-disciplinary research and innovation activities across ARU, leveraging the talents and assets of colleagues by creating a positive culture of planning and implementation and ultimately helping raise the profile of ARU’s research in relevant funding spaces and the wider public.

Successful candidates will bring motivational senior leadership experience in higher education with strong credentials across innovation, impact, and income generation. They will be able to evidence a track record of developing and delivering a robust research and innovation strategy, as well as an experiential understanding of and appreciation for wider corporate development. Prospective candidates will have strong communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
