Job description
The following skills and experience will be required and are essential for the successful candidates: To ensure there is adequate administrational, secretarial and clerical staff within the Hospital. This will include organising rosters, approving and covering annual leave, for reception and waiting list booking staff. To assist in the co-ordination of the elective throughput of the department. To act as a communication interface between the consultants, treatment scheduling teams and secretarial staff to ensure that lists/slots are effectively utilised.
To lead on the delivery of accurate RTT (referral to treatment) data collection on the Trusts Patient administrative systems and ensure validation deadlines are met. In conjunction with the Administration Manager, manage the inpatient and outpatient waiting lists, recognising the local and national quality standards and contractual requirement. Liaising with all parties to ensure that resources and facilities are fully utilised. Investigate and answer any complaints that may arise from areas of responsibility.
In conjunction with the Administration Manager, manage the clerical staff non-pay budget in line with the Trusts standing financial instructions. To play a key role in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures with the Hospital.
