Salary: S5 Grade From £27,793 to £29,150 per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £31,437 per annum inclusive of London Weighting

The College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Department Administrator within the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department.
This is an interesting and wide-ranging position that works closely with the Department Administrator and the Head of Department in providing excellent administrative support and proactively responding to daily enquiries from students, members of academic and administrative staff, both by email and in person.
The successful candidate will support the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Administrator in activities such as administrative and secretarial support, raising purchase requests, submitting expense claims, organising & taking minutes of meeting. Additionally, they will be the focal point for the department's Employability initiative and proving administrative support for conferences. The person will be very pro-active, able to work unsupervised, show initiative & diplomacy, have excellent diary management skills with good attention to detail and must have experience of a similar administrative role.
