We are looking to fill permanent driver position to distribute packages safely to our customers. You will represent our company in a safe and professional manner to enhance our service and safety levels to our customers and FedEx. We dispatch out of the Palmetto terminal near Bradenton, FL ( 11915 31st Terrace East Palmetto, FL 34221).
Preferred applicant have some type of delivery experience (ex: Amazon delivery, USPS delivery, Moving companies, Uber, Lyft, driving a vehicle for a company, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of packages to different addresses and through different routes (packages can be up to 150 lbs)
- Ensure any pick ups are timely
- Drive vehicle following safety standards
- Follow and learn routes through route software and experience on the route
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Operate a scanner and use proper codes
- Follow DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum age 21 or older
- Valid professional driver’s license
- Proof of authorization to work in the US
- Must have a clean MVR (motor vehicle record will be verified)
- Pass a criminal background check
- Drug free work place (must pass immediate drug test and random tests)
- Be able to handle large and/or heavy packages up to 150 lbs. This is a fast paced, physically demanding job that can include stairs, long driveways, etc.
- Capable of accurately operating a scanning device
- Be willing to use your smart phone (in working condition) on the job for GPS & communication
- Have reliable transportation to and from the FedEx terminal ( 11915 31st Terrace East Palmetto, FL 34221)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $750.00 - $900.00 per week
