Job Description:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for loading and delivering parts to the correct customer location within an assigned route. They must be able to drive a truck with a trailer, a semi trailer, or a box truck. The delivery driver will operate the delivery vehicle in accordance with company policies, procedures and laws in a safe and compliant manner while maintaining the integrity of our brand image.
Duties:
- Performs pre-trip inspection of vehicle
- Operates vehicle in accordance with company policies, procedures and laws in all states, in all cities, in all countries
- Communicates with Customer via phone regarding the status of the order or its completion and provides updates as necessary
- Complete all paperwork as required for deliveries
- Perform other duties as assigned
We are looking for a keen, well mannered person to join our Family business. We are an Agricultural/ Equestrian Pet Food & Supplies shop which offers local delivery of feed and timber & roofing supplies.
The individual needs to have a Full Clean driving License and be over the age of 21 with 2 years driving experience, They need to have good customer service, be able to navigate between drops. Ideally looking for someone physically fit & strong as the vehicles are offloaded by hand. The individual needs to be keen to learn the products to be able to load, drive & unload orders correctly.
Along side the driving we are looking for a shop assistant. The ratio will be 2 days driving : 3 days working in the shop.
Job roles include but are not limited to:
- Serving customers on the till
- Loading and unloading customers’ orders into their vehicles
- Checking in and putting away deliveries
- Giving advice to customers when necessary
Required skills / attributes
- Being able to lift up to and including 25kg safely and comfortably
- Good customer service
- Good memory (able to take in and retain information)

Desired skills / Components / experience
-Knowledge of Epos Till system
- SQP Qualified advisor
- Forklift licence
- Knowledge of dog food nutrition
- Knowledge of farm / equestrian food nutrition
- Knowledge of Roofing and Timber
- Able to convert metric and imperial measurements
- Have experience using an Epos till system
- Experience working with animal
Uniform
You will be supplied with branded t-shirts and sweatshirts. We can embroider any other clothing at your request and purchase
Jewellery/ Piercings
Minimal jewellery is ok as long as it does not get in the way or effect your jobs.
Discreet face piercings are ok as long as they do not affect your jobs, dangling earrings are not advised as they may get caught when carrying bags if lifted on to shoulder.
Working independently as well as working as part of the team on a daily basis
