If you are someone who is looking to make a strong income for this upcoming summer then this is the job for you. This job offers a safe minimum hourly of $16 with commission bonuses on top for those who are hard workers. Higher minimums for higher license classes. If you are able to work hard, listen to direction from trainers and managers you should be ranging between $18-$24 per hour once out of training!!!

Requirements and Expectations

  • For this job you will be loading both 7lbs and 20lbs bags of ice into ice merchandisers all around the Detroit metro area. You must be able to lift 40lbs comfortably to be able to do this job and push a cart with ice in it across parking lots in trough stores. You will be outdoors a lot during the summer and this job does require weekend availability in the peak season.

What to expect on a standard day

  • Show up when scheduled at 7am, go over your route on your tablet and do a pre trip inspection on your truck. When done you'll do a quick run down with the management staff to go over anything of note about your route. You'll then fuel up on site and begin your day.
  • On an average day you'll deliver to 10-15 stores depending on what part of town you are in, the route will be pre made by you manager. The average delivery will take around 30 minutes per stop depending on the delivery size.
  • When arriving at your first store you'll check in and then begin delivering the ice until the box is full. Once finished you will get a signature and print the receipt out for the customer and begin driving to the next stop.
  • Once the route is finished you will check in with you manager before heading back then once your given the okay to return you will be head back to the shop, clean out any trash in the back of the truck, park the truck, and do your end day paper work before heading home.
