Job Details

The Pre-Clinical MRI team led by Prof. Simon Robinson is focussed on the application of quantitative functional non-invasive MRI techniques to evaluate imaging biomarkers of tumour pathophysiology and treatment response in pre-clinical models of cancer. Imaging biomarker development demands close imaging-pathology correlation, to understand the biology underpinning the imaging measurement. We are seeking to appoint a Higher Scientific Officer to join the Pre-Clinical MRI team to principally provide histopathology technical support and analysis for MRI biomarker validation.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have a BSc. (or equivalent) in a relevant subject e.g. biological sciences, experience in histopathology, and an interest in cancer research.


Department/Directorate Information

The Pre-Clinical MRI team is located in the Centre for Cancer Imaging (CCI), part of the Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging, which provides an integrated environment for multi-modality pre-clinical imaging. The CCI provides a strong multidisciplinary environment of staff within imaging, radiotherapy, drug development and pathology.
