On behalf of one of our Clients (Head Office based in Manchester) we have an immediate need to recruit a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle to and from customer locations throughout the UK, this is a full-time position Monday - Friday with availability to work weekends as overtime, you will be delivering then maximising profit with return loads organised by our Clients dispatch team, this isn't a heavy multi drop position there will be 5 delivers maximum per routes given daily.
Owner drivers will also be considered on a self employed basis but must have a van no older than 4 years with relevant insurance cover.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Providing accurate and timely paperwork
- Interacting with customers
- Efficiently communicating via phone and email between yourself and the company as needed
- Completing daily route checklists
- Communicating with dispatch about any delays or traffic jams along your route
- Keeping an updated log of problems with vehicles and incidents
- Making sure the vehicle/customer/loads are safe for delivery
- Providing excellent customer service to all customers, including but not limited to: answering questions, ordering additional supplies, answering complaints, expediting orders as needed, etc.
- Completing any other tasks assigned by management
Requirements:
- Valid clean driver’s license
- Clean insurance history
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Experience of this type of work
