General Summary and Purpose:
The Delivery Driver is a core team member of the Operations Department. The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting customer product to and from SciSafe Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Packing product appropriately in correct temperature for transport
- Use navigation tools to arrive at the correct location and deliver product to the contact at the scheduled time
- Follow best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading/unloading a truck
- Communicate with dispatchers, driver and other team members to make sure deliveries meet delivery deadlines
- Perform basic van maintenance
- Load & unload customer product
- Obtain client signatures when required or follow other client specific pickup/drop off procedures while
onsite at customer locations
