This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely. However, you may be required to attend site on occasion.

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time. This post is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

This post delivers PMO programme and project support to agile, waterfall and hybrid projects and Service Owners in the Defensive Cyber domain. It is presently a PD role, but over time this may realign to DDAT framework as the balance of Waterfall to Agile projects shifts to reflect the SEM ambition. The Cyber Programme Controls and Support Officer is a key role, responsible for providing delivery assistance to the Programme and Project Managers, in conformance to the policy, governance and guidance issued from the DD Portfolio Team (DDPT).

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning & Scheduling – Implement and maintain corporate systems to enable effective programme and programme planning and scheduling.
  • Monitoring & Reporting – Establish and maintain programme and project controls to support performance monitoring and management. Capture and analyse MI to create Business Intelligence to support key Programme decision makers.
  • Programme Governance and Administration – Support and deliver programme organisational tasks e.g. governance board administration/ Agile planning events. Manage and monitor programme compliance to DD standards.
  • Resource Planning – Support programme and project resource and workforce planning.
  • Stakeholder Management – Build effective relationships with key programme stakeholders. Act as focal point for stakeholder engagement on programme reporting and governance activities.
  • RAIDO Management – Support and advise programme and project staff with risk, issue, opportunity, dependency and assumption management activities.
