Data Architect
Fully Remote
£80,000 - £90,000 + 25% bonus
Data Architect to join a global market leader in producing essential components across a huge variety of industries and specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have the experience and ability to operate across the full data lifecycle, providing data architecture solutions for the programmes and data domains across the business. Whoever is successful in this opportunity will work closely with the divisional group and business teams.
Some of what you will be doing:
· Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data systems, including integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
· Establish data architecture framework, standards, and principles, encompassing modelling, metadata, security, and reference/master data.
· Define a reference architecture to guide the development and enhancement of data systems.
· Determine data flows within the organization, including data generation, dependencies, management, and transitions.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation.
· Design data processing models that align with the business model.
· Create diagrams to depict data entities and relationships.
· Identify system components required for implementation.
· Communicate effectively, using clear and concise language.
· Provide a common business vocabulary that supports strategic requirements and integrated designs.
· Visualize and design a data management framework for key programs and technologies, such as D365 Finance and Operations ERP.
· Understand business needs, evaluate existing data structures, and develop a blueprint for an integrated and secure data framework aligned with business strategy.
Ideally, your skills and experience will include:
· Prior experience as a Data Architect or Solutions Architect.
· Proficiency in designing Data Warehouse and Data Mart schemes, integrating disparate data sources, and working with Agile methodologies.
· Knowledge of Data Governance practices and experience designing business intelligence solutions with Azure technologies.
· Ability to gather requirements from IT and business partners.
· Proficiency in data modelling, SQL development, and database administration.
· Familiarity with predictive modelling, NLP, text analysis, and Machine Learning.
· Capability to design solutions incorporating common data management, reporting technologies, columnar/NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
· Skills in data mining, visualization, and Machine Learning.
· Strong communication, team management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
· Experience working autonomously and in interrupt-driven environments.
· Experience in establishing architecture processes and implementing IT governance.
· Ability to manage change in legacy architectures.
