Salary: This Apprenticeship is the National Minimum Wage dependent on your age from April 2023.
This is a Temporary Full Time position
This position offers an exciting opportunity to become part of the Environmental Health Team, carrying out services to protect the public and our communities. The role will cover areas such as public health, regulating the public and businesses, pollution control, food, air quality, ‘enviro crime’, health and safety & contaminated land.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Full training and support will be provided to ensure that you can carry out all of the duties below:
- Handling public and business enquiries
- Plan, organise and deliver inspections as part of a regulatory and statutory service
- Undertake pollution measurement and monitoring
- Analysing data and providing reports
- Taking formal action, preparing notices and correspondence
- Undertaking checks on private sector rented properties and licensed establishments
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The on-the-job training and support which will be provided alongside the paid study time will help you meet your full potential. At the end of the course, you will receive a Level 4 Apprenticeship (Equivalent educational level: Foundation degree and above)
