Database Analyst I
Position Description:

In the role of Data Analyst I you will be working in Center for Advancing Population Science.
Purpose
Under general supervision, assists in the support, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale relational databases.
Primary Functions
- Develop large scale harmonized relational database based on several large-scale national databases.
- Provides maintenance and support for large scale relational databases in SQL.
- Maintains accurate data sets and reports for college-wide analysis and use.
- Assists in developing custom solutions for institutional needs.
- Tests new college-wide database enhancements before implementation and installation.
- Prepares access methods, validation checks and analyze system performance following established standards and procedures.
- Performs limited database analysis projects under specific instruction.
- Assists technical administration in supporting department local area network, computers and communication systems.
- May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
Knowledge of computers, electronics, digital media, databases, applications, software development, risk management, and information security.
Customer support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving, and listening skills.Preferred Schedule:
M-F 8-5 pm
Position Requirements:
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: No experience required
Preferred Experience: 3 years
