About the role:
The Refinery29 integrated marketing team sits within the VICE MEDIA GROUP commercial department – a cross-functional and collaborative group of strategists, sales and creatives – responsible for developing and delivering partnership campaigns that align with our brand mission, engage our audience, and deliver results for our clients. This team, working in close partnership with key stakeholders across R29 editorial and VICE MEDIA GROUP, is tasked with driving growth for R29 International through branded content partnerships.
Role x You
Alongside the ACD, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Refinery29 branded content campaigns, from proposal to execution, tapping into market-leading creative solutions across video, social, digital, experiential, and editorial in a way that drives the branded content category forward. You are a conceptual, creative thinker who is both a confident copy writer and visual director. An excellent storyteller, you can expertly articulate ideas succinctly and compellingly through both written text and visual narratives.
In the short term… you will play an immediate role in the creative output of Refinery29 content partnerships, working with teams across R29 to craft timely campaign proposals, supporting sold projects into production and through to completion across our digital ecosystem and social channels.
After 6 months in this role… you will have confidently pitched multiple campaigns, and sold your first, winning over clients with your creative and passion for R29.
And after a year.. you will work closely with the ACD to maintain, develop and evolve Refinery29’s creative output to ensure we are best in class for branded content that engages with our audience in a way that no other media owners can deliver. You will work closely with multiple teams across Refinery29 and VICE Media Group, connecting Refinery29 to the wider VMG ecosystem through collaborative co-pitches.
Qualifications
You have these:

Experience in digital partnerships across social, video, photography and editorial, preferably within a media owner/publisher environment

Fluency in all creative deliverables with a focus on devising partnerships that deliver against client KPIs across platforms and formats

Excellence in both the written and spoken word; some experience pitching to clients and agencies as well as crafting persuasive proposal decks

An enthusiasm and keen eye for detail in art direction, scripting, talent selection, commissioning and storyboarding

A driven and ambitious attitude with high energy levels, cultural nuance and a knack for visual and editorial storytelling

A deep understanding of youth audiences, media, and contemporary culture

Confident and willing to independently leading and manage on-set experiences, fostering a positive environment and acting as a bridge between the shoot direction and client needs
