About the programme
You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to scope, develop and launch new analytics and tools which enable Comparethemarket to understand its customers better. You’ll be helping to ensure we’re delivering products and services which meet our customers’ needs increasing loyalty and performance.

Through a level 7 Artificial Intelligence Data Specialist apprenticeship you’ll undertake expertly designed training delivered through a blended virtual learning approach including lessons, coaching, assignments, hackathons, and group work across approximately 18 months. You’ll develop an advanced skill set to discover and devise new data-driven Artificial Intelligence solutions to automate and optimise business processes and to support, augment and enhance decision-making.
As part of our wider Talent Academy Community you’ll also get additional development opportunities, supported networking and a few socials in there for good measure.

About the role:
A Data Scientist graduate:
  • Understands and uses advanced analysis and programming techniques including logistic regression, data processing, model selection and evaluation and using discriminative classifiers.
  • Becomes familiar with common tools, including Pandas and NumPy, and best practices including testing and code quality.
  • Creates models that learn over time with Machine Learning.
  • Builds models that perform classification tasks directly from images, text, or sound, using Deep learning.

You’ll
  • Have a BSc honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics or any other discipline that is highly numerate. Due to conditions of the apprenticeship, we are UNABLE to consider those with degrees in Data Science, AI or Machine Learning or more than 3 months of industry experience in a data science role.
  • Have a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent including Maths having obtained grade C or above.
  • Achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A-C/4-9 or above (including Maths and English Language).
  • Have Intermediate Python and statistics exposure with a breath of knowledge in modern classification & regression but agnostic to the tooling.
  • Have a natural ability to communicate, adept at making the complex simple to understand.
  • Have excellent time management & demonstrate great organisational/prioritisation skills.
  • Be legally allowed to work in the UK and been a UK resident for the last 3 years as a minimum.
