Job description
Applications are invited for a Research Associate in the Division of Informatics, Imaging and Data Sciences. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed term basis for a period of 3 years.
We seek a talented individual to work on projects within the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection research theme in the NIHR Manchester BRC. The applicant will be expected to contribute to projects in a number of different ways including supporting applications for ethical approval, accessing and managing research data, design and implementation of projects, statistical analysis and publication. You will have experience in statistics and will relish the opportunity for cross-disciplinary collaboration and the challenge involved in creating robust solutions to real-world problems. Excellent communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for specific areas of research, under the supervision of a member of the academic staff. You will also be expected to contribute to the creative effort of the research group and project team, and to collaborate with others within the group, the research team and, where appropriate, externally.
