Job description

With a remit across MS&AD group and its subsidiaries the team works to deliver best in class data solutions by working in tandem with other specialist functions including Pricing; Exposure; Reserving; Underwriting; and Claims. The team is split across two core disciplines: Engineering and Advanced Analytics.

Engineering are tasked with collecting, validating and delivering data. The discipline is organised across architecture, infrastructure and data, and stack.

Advanced Analytics are tasked with using data analysis methodologies including predictive modelling, machine learning algorithms, process automation and other methods to impact processes. The discipline is organised across science and modelling, and journalism.

In this instance we are recruiting into science and modelling who create and deploy algorithmic models (be it ML or AI) to extract knowledge from data; ensure development consistency and output towards rate assessment and monitoring; and develop other forms of computational analysis (process mining, sentiment analysis etc) to quantify performance.

Specifically for Senior Data Scientist who solves business problems using ML / AI. You’ll know how use software and modelling skills to determine what data and model best fits a project; and have a firm grasp of both probability and statistics.
