POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Knowledge Management, the Data Scientist will contribute to the firm’s vision and goals by leveraging their expertise in AI, machine learning, and data analytics. This role will be instrumental in enhancing the company's data-driven decision-making processes. The Data Scientist will be viewed as a primary resource to advocate and champion our AI strategies. The ability to constantly learn, innovate, and share knowledge on improving existing processes will be pivotal in this role. A broad range of creativity, versatility, and the capacity to manage a variety of projects is expected.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development and implementation of AI models and algorithms, supporting the overall AI initiatives.
- Champion the best use of knowledge systems and AI solutions; provide guidance and support at all levels of the firm.
- Lead the development, documentation, and/or delivery of training on the use of our AI solutions, firm standards, and best practices.
- Partner with our Legal and HR teams to help inform on AI risk mitigation.
- Facilitate the visualization of project information and business performance indicators using AI models and predictive analysis.
- Support the creation, editing, and publication of documents that encapsulate complex data-driven insights in an understandable manner.
- Track trends on how knowledge systems and AI solutions are being utilized in day-to-day firm processes.
- Assist in maintaining the quality and quantity of data utilized in AI models and knowledge systems.
- Keep up with industry trends and related knowledge management initiatives that support KTGY.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong research skills and a willingness to learn.
- Hands-on AI/ML modeling experience of complex datasets combined with strong understanding of theoretical foundations of AI/ML.
- Advanced understanding and proficiency using software/platforms including:
- Python or R
- Machine learning frameworks
- Natural Language Platforms
- Cloud platforms
- SQL Database structures and queries
- Accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop consensus and collaboration across many business units.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex data-driven insights in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an open-office environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, AI development, machine learning, or similar roles.
- Experience with large language models such as OpenAI's GPT series and understanding of their deployment in practical applications.
- Familiarity with best practices in software development, including Amazon Web Services, Docker, version control (Git), and documentation.
- Experience in the professional services sector preferred.
EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
- 4-year degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field and/or a combination of required education and experience.

The wage range that the Company expects to pay is $90,000 - $120,000.
