Data Science Intern

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist-Intern to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions that drive business insights and enhance decision-making processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong programming skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to create innovative models and algorithms.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field) is required.
• You must be comfortable working in a team environment.
• Solid experience in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Java, with proficiency in AI and ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and predictive modeling.
• You must be comfortable using Git, GitHub, and other tools to manage your code and data.
• You must be comfortable using Python 3.6+.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying ML models in a production environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models for various business applications, including but not limited to recommendation systems, fraud detection, and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
• Clean, preprocess, and wrangle large and diverse data sets from various sources to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Java to develop AI and ML solutions.
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate model performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI and ML technologies and tools.
• Communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports.
• Work closely with software engineers and data engineers to deploy and integrate models into production systems.
