Base Location: Perth, Reading or Cardiff
Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
What is the Role?
The Commercial function within Business Energy provides a range of reports, dashboards and forecast models for the leadership, finance and operational teams. As a Data Science analyst you will maintain and enhance existing assets and deliver new projects using analytic techniques to deliver business decisions and deliver value. Your role will include:
- Maintaining and optimising critical analytics assets including Commercial revenue forecast model, Profitability Segmentation model, Churn prediction model.
- Developing new reports and Power BI dashboards to deliver insights to the business and engaging with stakeholders to productionise for operational areas.
- Working to align and assimilate data from legacy systems and our new platform (Evolve) to feed existing models.
- Supporting Data Scientists and Commercial Analysts with data requests, best practice and technical guidance.
- Delivering machine learning and AI models to feed into our automation goals.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience in a data analyst or scientist role which include the design, development, deployment and management of analytics assets (e.g. machine learning models, key performance dashboards, forecasts etc.)
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Strong capability with data visualisation in Power BI,
- Experience using Azure technologies, Data factory, Data lake, Repos, Dev Ops and developing complex analytic models (machine learning; time series forecasts, clustering, predictive modelling etc)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical details to all audiences.
- A qualification in a quantitive field (Computer Science/Applied Science/ Engineering/ Maths) where data science modules have been completed would be beneficial.
