About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Manager to join our dynamic Finance team and implement strategies to improve our NHS reporting. As a Data Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our organisation's data assets.
The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring data integrity, implementing data management strategies, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation. We are ideally looking for a Data Manager with previous experience within the NHS.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency
- Establish and enforce data governance and measures to comply with NHS requirements
- Identify and resolve data issues and discrepancies
- Liaise with external organisations to ensure that NHS submissions meet national and local requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes to national data requirements and communicate these changes effectively to relevant teams within the organisation.
- Analyse information and data systems in order to evaluate their performance to discover ways of improvement
- Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience as Data Manager in an NHS environment is essential
- Previous experience managing a data team
- Understanding and knowledge of NHS data and contractual submissions
- Proficiency in SQL, MS Office and SharePoint
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Highly organised
- BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field advantageous
