Job description
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing and leading on the technical development and maintenance of current systems within the data team, identify market needs to develop new products for the industry.
The postholder will utilise in depth knowledge of the data within CIPFA Solutions, to support day to day operations within CIPFA Solutions, ensuring data is complete, accurate, timely and accessible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on the graphical design and presentation of products, new and current.
- Line management responsibility and undertake any other duties which are commensurate with the role including project work and new initiatives.
- Assist on renewals process, defining pricing and other relevant terms, working with customer services, marketing and sales teams to ensure that all possible channels are exploited to maximise the take-up of services.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the Senior Solutions Manager and other senior management.
- Liaise with clients and teams across CIPFA on product suitability and suggest product development pathways.
- Ensure current services are fit for purpose and propose additional areas of improvement.
- Lead research into technical enhancements within the team such as new platforms to deliver services.
- Identify training gaps and develop a training programme to support Analyst development.
- Understand market needs and the route the market is taking, ensuring products are up to date and relevant.
- Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, across the CIPFA Group, to ensure that business opportunities are followed through/value chain is realised/services are improved/duplication of effort is avoided.
- Maintain own professional knowledge and skills and participate actively in team and business development and up-dating activities
- To ensure compliance with CRM guidelines as appropriate
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of ISO Quality Assurance within the CIPFA Group and participate in follow up actions
