Job description
To be responsible for the collection and analysis of data relating to patients referred to the Clinical Genetics. service. To assist the laboratory management team in the collection and analysis of data related to the Genetics laboratory. To search databases for specific information and to collate that information electronically.
Act as a point of contact for regional, national and international data queries. Ensure that Trust policy regarding Data Protection is adhered to. Assist the clinical team with data queries that may be needed for example, for audit purposes or to identify patients with specific conditions or phenotypes for clinical purposes. There may also be a requirement to support the department with data collection relating to clinical trials.
