About the role:
We are currently seeking a Data Governance Lead who can bring a strong understanding of data governance for AI/ML to our team. As a data-driven organization, we place particular importance on data governance in the realm of AI/ML, as it plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, consistency, usability, trustworthiness, and security of our data.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy and framework for the client
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data governance requirements
- Lead the selection and implementation of a data governance tool that meets the client's needs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security
- Define and manage data security policies and standards
- Work with business units and IT teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Provide guidance and support to team members on data governance best practices
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
- Lead and manage a data governance initiative
- Work with technical teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of the selected tool
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the data governance framework and make improvements as necessary
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience data governance for AI/ML applications or Data Governance AI
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related field
- Strong knowledge of data governance policies, procedures, and best practices
- Experience leading and managing a data governance initiative
- Experience working on data enablement projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data governance tools, such as Collibra, Alation, and Informatica, is preferred
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and data warehouses, such as AWS and Snowflake, is preferred
