With the expansion of the global Data Management team and following the development of our policy framework, we are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join our team to lead efforts on various policy and data compliance related work streams that will help strengthen Reach’s data governance capabilities.
Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, the Data Governance Analyst will be a key member of Reach’s growing data team and will help shape and set the direction of a new function in a completely greenfield environment.

You will lead on the implementation of a group-wide Data Retention policy, working closely with colleagues across Data Quality, Data Architecture and Business Architecture, creating and maintaining key Data Management artefacts and documentation.
Championing the Data Governance network, you will be a key contact to colleagues across the organisation for data compliance related enquiries, including operations within the US. As well as this, you will also act as a point of contact to all business areas with data retention and record management queries.
You will champion the maintenance and improvement of Reach’s data assets, making sure we know how to use data in a safe and compliant manner. You will align with the privacy, information security, legal and technology teams, and data owners to implement a group wide retention and deletion strategy.
You will design and author end-to-end data documentation to enable engagement and governance activities as well as implement scalable data governance within key data driven processes. Making sure we get the best value out of our data, you’ll be working alongside colleagues in Data Protection, Information Security and Risk to make sure we have the right controls in place when working with 3rd Party vendors.
- Professional experience in data governance, data management, privacy or risk roles - experience of operating in media or technology industries would be desirable but not required
- Ability to manage complex and multiple work streams while delivering solutions within a tight deadline.
- Proven track record of strong project management delivery; Data Risk Management experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels, particularly in a remote environment, with a focus on guiding, rolling out and adherence of data governance best practices, standards and policies to technical and non technical teams.
- Good knowledge of the GDPR and/or similar data protection / privacy regulations requirements, processes and solutions. US regulatory knowledge is highly desirable.
- Good experience in defining, designing and implementing policies, standards, guidelines, tools, metrics and standards for data management and governance framework.
